On March 19, he was spotted driving a car with a plate that was not issued to it, the police explained.

When officers tried to stop Burgos-Garcia, he sped off and ultimately eluded the police. The officers later found the vehicle— which contained drugs and drug paraphernalia— and had it impounded, according to the release.

Burgos-Garcia was arrested and put in the Lancaster County Prison on May 12, 2023 for violating terms of a previous probation deal, according to court records. He was formally charged for the following offenses on June 2, 2023, according to the police:

  • Fleeing or Attempting to Elude Officer.
  • Possession of a small amount of marijuana.
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
  • Reckless Driving.
  • Driving while operating privilege is suspended or revoked - DUI Related.
  • Display Improper Registration Plate.
  • Trespass by Motor Vehicle.
  • Operate Vehicle without Valid Inspection.

This is his first offense in Dauphin County, but he has a record of DUI and Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver in Lancaster and York counties, according to numerous previous court dockets.

He was serving three years of probation at the time of this latest offense, court records show.

He has been held in the Lancaster County Prison on $100 in bail, according to his latest court docket. A formal arrangement was scheduled for August but on June 13, 2023, his attorney filed to waive it, as detailed in his docket.
